Love scarves but find them too heavy especially in summer? I've found the answer. . . a unique fringe necklace.
Aren't these lovely and colorful, they're like jewelry! They are light weight and would compliment many different tops in your closet!
These beautiful fringed necklaces were created using My Own Fringemaker! Fun to make and more fun to wear, not to mention a very cool to gift! Mix and match two or three yarns or ribbons to start your necklace design. The grouping of scarves are samples of a project I was working on.
Recently for a quick trip into town, I needed something to dress up a T-Shirt and jeans - but a heavy scarf was too much and a necklace way too dressy. I threw on one of my extra sample fringe necklaces and wow it did dress up the casual look. Many people commented and one guy winked and I had several inquiries as to where to buy one. You can save money by making your own fringe jewelry, or you can earn money by selling your fringe jewelry. These are sweet!
Supplies needed to make fringe necklace:
2" strip of soft tulle 30" long, several yarns and ribbons of your choice colors and widths,
My Own Fringemaker and straight stitch, threaded sewing machine.
How To Make the necklaces:
Follow the instruction in FAQ How to Make Fringe.
The only different technique is sewing the header off center - not in the middle and not in next to the rod.
Start sewing approximately 1 1/2" below the rod.
Cut the loops from both rods, this makes cut fringe. Sew both ends together and you have a necklace, wear it with pride!
