What if your favorite stuff . . . the stuff you really love ~ easily transitioned the seasons?
What if you didn’t need to buy more and more stuff would you save money?
YES, you would save a ton of money! No more buying and storing last season’s stuff or buying more new pants because the kids have grown again. How much space do you have for storing everything? Most people have limited storage but continue to buy, it’s crazy.
Wouldn’t you be interested in having fun plus saving money? Now you can create fringe, attach fringe on to project with snap tape to make it removable. Each time you change the look of your project - - - change your fringe. The look of your stuff will change – replace the fringe trim unlimited times and bank the savings! Now this is savings at it’s best!
Where would you start to maximize savings?
Why not use the stuff you all ready have?
Your wardrobe, purses, totes, boots, scarves, gloves. How about your home décor items like pillows, lamp shades, foot stools and slip covers, what else do you have?
Create fabulous fringe and tassels easily using My Own fringemaker. Alter your fringe styles, drop length, colors and texture for completely different looks by using different yarns, thread, and STRAND. Add snap tape to your fringe, attach trim to something; enjoy it for a while, create different fringe( for pennies) snap off the original fringe and snap on your newly created fringe. How’s that? Your friends will be amazed at your creativity! Now smile all the way to the bank!
Do you sew for others? Offering interchangeable fringe as an option to your customers will endear them to you! They will rave to their friends about how clever you are plus how much you saved them. Your business is sure to grow. Your cash register rings Cha – ching !
Once you use snap tape to interchange trim, you'll always use snap tape.
Removable fringe allows you to minimize the number of new pieces you have to buy for your wardrobe and/or home décor; the savings in money and reduced shopping time is huge.
HINT ~ If you use snap tape as described, you’ll need more of one side than the other, the sides are called male and female. One side will be permanently attached to the object and the other side will be added to each new fringe you create so you can snap it on.
Order snap tape by the yard, both sides together or individual sides.

One day recently, I saw My Own Fringemaker as a mini loom, now we can weave!
This new technique adds more uses for this very unique embellishing system.
This is my first attempt at weaving. The goal was to use up odd bits and pieces of something just to prove anything goes using whatever was on hand.
While looking through my stash, I spied a bag of bias tapes various colors and widths plus rick rack.
Here's the process:
1. wound on the longest piece first - periwinkle blue double folded.
2. choose a second piece and weave it through horizontally with my fingers. Weave in and out of the blue and so on till the area between the rods was full.
3. remove rod unit from base and take to sewing machine. Place woven section under the presser foot and straight stitched the rows of bias tape to anchor them in place.
4. take rod unit back to your work table, remove rotating arms.
5. gently slide sewn woven cloth off rod unit.
6. take woven piece back to sewing machine and straight stitch the ends to keep it's shape.
How and where would you use woven pieces?
Initially cuffs, collars, pockets on clothing or art quilts, purses come to mind.
Use woven pieces as a purse flap or fold in half to create a purse add a closure (perhaps a button or zipper) and you're done.
Thinking outside the box, how about making;
Like the idea of weaving - boy is it ever fun! View our other weaving projects in this category .

Toupees look hard to make, surprisingly they're quite easy and you use yarn!
Supplies you'll need:
threaded straight stitch sewing machine, My Own Fringmeaker, yarn, netting or tulle. bobby pins to secure toupee, magic marker to draw ascending circles onto tulle.
2 ~ 10" circles ( use a plate for template) Cut two 10" circles out of tulle/netting set aside.
How to make a toupee from yarn:
Follow How to make fringe instructions found in FAQ.
Place rods in holes 3 and 5 positions this creates the length of hair. You can choose other hole placement for different hair length.
Wind on yarn the full length of rods.
Sew down center between rods, multiple times.
Using two circles of netting makes a stronger base and piece to handle.
Remove yarn (hair) from rods and place one end in center of tulle, begin laying 3" -5" of hair (yarn) onto tulle starting at center point and gently wind yarn outward following the circles you drew. Pin every few inches, stop winding and stitch on the header stitching attaching toupee yarn onto tulle. Continue until done - try on - it'll be fabulous.
It might look odd - but it will look like a toupee. Continue laying and winding the yarn onto the double thickness of netting unil you've covered the tulle. Try hair piece on - adjust and wear wih pride!
