Fringed home decor featured in Frontgate Catalog

While glancing through a household product catalog this morning, I spotted three dust mops for sale with fluffy fringe looking mop heads.
1. a wool dust mop for sale; 12" for sale $34.95 and and 19" listed for $39.95. The promoters were promising no scratches to hard wood floors. The lanolin in wool creates static electricity attracting dust. Improves with each washing.
2. a mop head attaches to a swiffer type floor dust mop with hook and loop tape. They were promoting reusing dust heads rather than buying more replacement dust cloths. $ 19.95
3. a dust mop looked to be made of white cotton yarns - $29.95
Ya know . . . using the fringemaker you can make your own dust mop heads for the cost of yarn.
YOUR dust mop head can be up to 24" long and that would cover a larger area of floor in one sweeping.
Look at your mop head and see how it's made and attached to handle.
Trace off a pattern.Think of it as a slip cover.
Sew or glue up a slip cover base to attach the fringe onto that will also slip onto the mop handle.
Wind wool or cotton yarns onto the fringemaker rod unit up to 24" wide;
Sew down the middle several times and attach it to your fabric mop, slide finished mop head onto the handle fixture.
Start mopping!
Check your stash of yarns for wool or cotton yarns and repurpose them ! Send in your photo of your mop head for posting in the Gallery.
