Baby Lock Tech 2010, was a marvelous convention! It was a whirlwind of activity, new sewing machines, upgrades, threads, embroidery designs and techniques to learn, Wow! Be sure to stop into your local Baby Lock Dealer for the latest, just when you think it couldn't possibly get any better - Baby Lock does it again! We talked with Dealers all ready selling My Own Fringemaker and enjoyed hearing their success stories; plus we welcomed a host of new Dealers into the world of fringe and tassel making who will now be adding My Own Fringemaker to their inventory of fun, stop in and ask see it!
Many of the Angels, (AKA . . . Baby Lock Educators) created beautiful samples trimmed with fringe, each made on My Own Fringemaker! Oh my Gosh - was I surprised (AND extremely PLEASED, not to mention dazzled!) They generously loaned us their samples to showcase in our Booth. Oh my, thank you ~ ~ thank you for creating and sharing these wonderful works of art!
The Home Dec samples were a luxurious towel embroidered with a generous sized three letter monogram and fringed across the upper banding. One dealer was delighted to see it had her same initials and told me she was eyeing it - That was perfect! A showy tassel with bobbin work wrapping the header could adorn a haute cotoure evening bag! A high fashion 20" square pillow, generously boasting many techniques, strip piecing, serger work, Sashiko stitching, three D petal accents, all trimmed in fringe! And last but NOT least a bowl, with inner decorative stitching created on the serger, trimmed along the upper outer edge with matching custom fringe, just a perfect catch but all for only special items.
The Apparel Samples consisted of a denim jacket, the back center embroidered with a Tween Doll accented by the collar trimmed in fringe, just adorable, ohhh, ahhh. Also a definite crowd stopper, a rich and creamy caramel colored long sleeved shirt, fashioned in front with custom fall colored fringe, attached to the shirt front on the diagonal from the sleeve to the button placket and on the back attached horizontally across the yoke seam - - - very eye catching! As many Dealers said, "Oh, it's so Margaret!"
Showcasing Accessory Samples we had a stunning east to west purse featuring fringe sewn on in an gentle arc on both the front and back, fitted with removable handles and zipper closure. An elegant, shear ,black scarf embellished with out of this world bobbin work framed by the unique fringes made on the serger!
A fun and playful Halloween apron, made from cloth strips which was the background for fanciful-ful decorative stitching, adorned at the bottom hem with a ruffle, which bounced the eye upward to see the wave stitching ( made only on a Baby Lock Serger) and topped with fringe. Embroidered front and center on the apron bib, was 'bone appetite' , framed by adorable skeletons ~ these skeletons couldn't frighten anyone from partaking in the fare.
There was a lot of creative work that went into these samples and we're grateful to have them set the stage for fall fringe! Thank you so much Baby Lock Educators (Angels)! Ask your Dealer about seeing these creative marvels!
Thank you all and see you soon at a Fringed Trunk Show coming your way!
