I LOVE snap tape and so will you!

Using snap tape makes your trim removable and interchangeable.
Removing trim before cleaning project keeps the integrity of the trim in tact.
ALSO removable trim means you can interchange fringe, which changes the entire look of your project for pennies.

Snap Tape specs:

• White or Black, your choice, mix and match white or black together.
• snaps spaced 1" apart, center to center 1 3/8" apart
• tape width 3/4" wide
• washable or dry cleanable

HINT:  If the tape is too wide for your project, glue the tape back on itself to narrow it.
You'll end up with tape, the width of the snaps, pretty cool!
When I do this I use Fabri-Tac glue by Beacons, sold most everywhere including Wal-Mart.

If you use snap tape like I do, you'll need more of one side than the other; The sides are called male or female.

Why would you need more yardage of one side than the other?
Because if one side is permanently attached to your project and the other attached to fringe, when you unsnap the trim, make new fringe trim you'll need another piece of snap tape attached to the new fringe trim which will attach to
your project. 

It's pretty easy to attach snap tape, glue it in place or secure in place by machine - I will provide more details.
Once one side of the snap tape is secured in place  you can snap both sections together.

If you are using a tightly woven fabric, there is a handy rotary blade that will make the tiniest holes for the male side of tape to poke through. I will be offering the blade for sale.

When you want to use the garment or project without snapping on the fringe, no problem, gently wiggle the snap
back out of the hole and no one will know the difference!  It'll be there waiting for the next snap on trim! Too cool!

Can you imagine the economic savings? One garment, unlimited interchangeable variations!!! Yeah, it's huge!

HINT: Buy as much as you think you'll need for all your projects and as much as you can afford because the tape colors and snaps can change by manufacturers.


 

 


 

Angel style purse handles, use one handle or two on your purses depending on the style.
Handles slide out of loops from one purse to reuse on the next purse.
This is a perfect lesson in recycling for our young ones to learn!
